Fernwood Community Information

Located in the heart of Victoria, Fernwood is a neighbourhood with a wonderful sense of character.

Home to many artists and young families, it is primarily a residential neighbourhood, connected by a dynamic community square. 

Fernwood Square is a beautiful, historic location, and a community meeting place that is buzzing almost any day of the week. Fernwood is a community where neighbours know one another, and meet up at one of the many shops or eateries surrounding the square. The historic Belfry Theatre is a Fernwood landmark.

The tree-lined streets of Fernwood boast many character and heritage houses. The neighbourhood is also home to Victoria High School, known as Vic High, the oldest public high school west of Winnipeg and north of San Francisco.
