Victoria West Community Information

Victoria West, commonly known as Vic West, is a dynamic neighbourhood with a wide array of land uses including industrial, retail, commercial, single and multi family residential.

The area is undergoing significant change including the comprehensive Railyards development, Dockside Green, and Upper Harbour Place. The Songhees, overlooking picturesque Downtown, features new condo buildings skirted by waterfront walkways and green space. Vic West is also home to a more established residential area consisting primarily of older, detached heritage homes.

The area's amenities include the Victoria West Community Centre along with other churches and services. The neighbourhood also has one of highest ratios of parkland to population in the city, and is well served by the Galloping Goose Trail and the harbour pathway system. Only steps away from downtown, Vic West is an eclectic community and a popular neighbourhood for young families.
